Instead of Windup…

May 10, 2021

Greetings,

At our May Executive meeting, there was discussion on the Local’s annual Windup which is usually held in May.   As per the COVID 19 restrictions, the Windup will once again have to be cancelled for this year.  Your Executive has come up with an alternative plan.  All CUPE Local 4701 members will receive a $50 Co-Op gift card. The gift cards will be disbursed through the Executive Committee, Area Reps and/or the bus garage(s). Each gift card disbursed will require a signature to verify that it has been received.   We will send them out before the end of the school year.
Because we have not had a wind up in the last 2 years, and there have been no conventions etc. so our bank account is healthy.

We do not need a motion to do this as it was a planned expenditure under Annual Windup. The gift card you will be receiving will cover for the 2019-2020 and the 2020 – 2021.

Please stay safe and healthy.

Your Local 4701 Executive Committee
