Tentative Agreement Reached in CN Strike

Dear Sisters, Brothers, and Friends,

Teamsters Canada has reached a tentative agreement with the Canadian National Railway Co. for over 3,000 conductors, trainpersons and yard workers. The union has been on strike since November 19th in order to fight for badly needed health and safety improvements on the job. Teamsters members will return to work tomorrow at 6 a.m. local time across Canada.

I want to thank all affiliates for their solidarity and support for those on strike here in Winnipeg.

In Solidarity,

Kevin Rebeck

President of the Manitoba Federation of Labour
